Charlie’s Toolbox
Real stories about women who chose themselves. From career pivots to relationship exits, body autonomy, geographic moves to family design decisions, we explore what actually happens when women prioritize their own paths over traditional expectations. Each episode dives deep into the choices, stories, challenges, and outcomes of women forging autonomous lives across finance, relationships, career, body, and family. This isn't advice or empowerment. It's a documentation of a cultural shift happening right now.
Charlie's Toolbox is founded and hosted by Sherese "Charlie" Taylor.

In this episode, I investigate why you perform in relationships (romantic and non-romantic). I explore how that dynamic came to be. What it does to your spirit, and why you should let go of the performance. I hope you take something from this episode.

I realized that sometimes, life gets the best of you. Sometimes there are big disruptive events that ruin your light or small mini-events that chip away at you. Sometimes you find yourself waking up in the morning dreading the day. OR you wake up and replaying all the ways people have hurt you. Sometimes those things cause you to skew your vision of yourself and your future yourself. During those times you have to be clear about who you are, and use strategies to keep that person in tact.

Pushing yourself to the limit is unhealthy. It does not mean anything to work till you have no energy. There is no beauty nor virtue in it. The only thing that is happening is that your body and mind are getting beat up. To stop that from happening, I've created an episode with handy tips to help you rest.

This week, I would like to talk about the concept of embracing peace and the challenges that come with it. I was prompted to think about this topic based on my personal life experiences. Currently, everything in my life is going great, and I am at peace. I am discovering my passion through my work with Charlie's Toolbox - my podcast, writing, and the stories I share empower me. My dating life is harmonious, and my relationships with friends and family are mostly peaceful. Yet, despite this, I have this nagging feeling that things will change. That I will once again find myself on the ground, crying out to God to help me pull through. In this episode, I explore this feeling, why it's there, and how to overcome it. This episode discusses that feeling, why, and how to overcome it.

Anxiety is natural. Anxiety about dating is natural. Everyone has it, but the difference between a person enjoying their date while being slightly anxious and the other who lets her anxiety ruin her dating experience is how they manage it.
