I realized that sometimes, life gets the best of you. Sometimes there are big disruptive events that ruin your light or small mini-events that chip away at you. Sometimes you find yourself waking up in the morning dreading the day.  OR you wake up and replaying all the ways people have hurt you. Sometimes those things cause you to skew your vision of yourself and your future yourself. During those times you have to be clear about who you are, and use strategies to keep that person in tact.

Dating is a hopeful game. Most of us do a good job at playing it cool, but underneath that indifference are people who really want to love and be loved. I am one of them and I'd like to discuss how sometimes hope is not enough.

Pushing yourself to the limit is unhealthy. It does not mean anything to work till you have no energy. There is no beauty nor virtue in it. The only thing that is happening is that your body and mind are getting beat up. To stop that from happening, I've created an episode with handy tips to help you rest.

This week, I would like to talk about the concept of embracing peace and the challenges that come with it. I was prompted to think about this topic based on my personal life experiences. Currently, everything in my life is going great, and I am at peace. I am discovering my passion through my work with Charlie's Toolbox - my podcast, writing, and the stories I share empower me. My dating life is harmonious, and my relationships with friends and family are mostly peaceful. Yet, despite this, I have this nagging feeling that things will change. That I will once again find myself on the ground, crying out to God to help me pull through. In this episode, I explore this feeling, why it's there, and how to overcome it. This episode discusses that feeling, why, and how to overcome it.

Ep. 14 Stop Worrying About Dating

Wednesday Jun 09, 2021

Wednesday Jun 09, 2021

The truth is…. Dating is hard, but it isn’t.
It is hard when you are holding your breath, secretly waiting to be saved, validated by a partner. It is hard when one negative or ugly comment from a prospect sends you into a spiral. It is hard when you move your boundaries because this guy is GREAT! Even though you have no real way of knowing. It is especially hard when you feel that this is your only hope for happiness. However, It is easy when you’ve worked on yourself and know that this experience is for you. When you work on yourself, you don’t give weight to an opinion outside of yourself. When you know the experience is for you, you don’t audition instead you become the panel.

So, how do we date to make sure that dating is easy, listen here to find out!
